-Offered for auction-This awesome vintage McIntosh MC240 Stereo Power Amplifier with Tube cage, original Manual and Maintenance manual. Serial#446 D9. I also have the two metal brackets used to mount the amp.I am not an expert on vintage electronics, I will answer any questions to the best of my knowledge. If you need specific pics I have not provided, please let me know and I will be happy to provide them.This was an estate found item and as such I am selling it on an AS-IS basis. The person I bought it from assured me it worked when it was stored in his garage 20+ years ago.Does it work? I have no reason to believe it doesn't. What I do know is that it is in great cosmetic condition and was stored for a very long time. I plugged it in and all the tubes lit up. It didn't make any strange noises, it didn't smoke or have any strange smells coming from it. The inside looks as good as the outside, all the componets look clean, no signs of overheating or repairs that I could detect.The four large tubes are all marked McIntosh, and I believe all the little ones are marked Telefunken, West Germany.Please take a good look at all the pics and if there are any more needed, let me know.I also have a McIntosh MX110 Tuner Preamplifier listed, be sure to check it out!!!
