You are looking at a vintage pair of Pair Heathkit W-5M Tube Mono Power Amps w/ WA-P2 Mono Tube Preamp
These Heathkit W-5M Power Amps have been partially tested - we do not have the necessary equipment to do more. The WA-P2 mono preamp allows us to power each amp up - all tubes light up. There may be issues with the preamp as we can't get it to pass signal. One amp has has a pair of vintage Emitron (made in GB) KT66 power tubes, one Mullard 12AU7, one unknown 12AU7 and one RCA 5AR4. The other amp has has a pair of vintage Genalex KT66 power tubes (one has a broken center pin but is easily installed if correct pin alignment is maintained), two unknown 12AU7's and one RCA 5AR4. The WA-P2 (please note - this is a MONO preamp but it is necessary to have in order to power each amp up. A stereo preamp would be necessary to operate the amps as a stereo pair) has two Mullard ECC83's and one Mullard ECC82. We were not able to get this unit to pass signal to the power amps. Cosmetic condition is good for units this age with some scratches, oxidation and other blemishes which would not affect performance. Due to their age and semi-tested status, these units are sold as-is. This auction is for two Heathkit W-5M Power Amps with assembly/instruction manual and one Heathkit WA-P2 mono preamp. Please note - as is, this is not a complete STEREO system! A stereo preamp is needed.
