The Mcintosh MC-2505 delivers at least 50 watts minimum to each channel! As usual, McIntosh is conservative on its ratings. Typically this amplifier can produce over 75 watts per channel with virtually no audible distortion, from 20 Hz to 20 KHz. THD is 0.25% and Noise and Hum is -90dB, with security monitor to protect the unit.
This the amplifier that started it all with McIntosh's famous cat-eyes blue watt meters and all black glass front panel. It sounds super!
The Glass Front Panel is Nice, only the usual minor bubbling around the headphone jack! The chassis is Very Good, and shows some minor cosmetic wear and the usual minor rust on the top edge of the rear chassis, otherwise the chrome is very nice. See Photos.
The amplifier was recently serviced and all electrolytic capacitors on the input board and output boards were changed (whether they were bad or not!). All controls were cleaned. All lamps were bad were replaced so you should feel confident that you are getting a good amplifier. Also, please check my 100% rating!
Of course, due top the age of this amplifer, I cannot offer you a guarantee or return. However, it is working perfectly and is in a like new sonic condition.
