This auction is for a vintage Dynaco Stereo 70 vacuum tube power amplifier. This item has been tested and is in good working condition. Both channels are clean and clear. This amp has been in storage for a few years. I cleaned out the under chassis with compressed air, treated all the sockets, pots, and switches with Caig DeoxIt D5 cleaner, and brought the unit up to power S L O W L Y with a variable transformer never exceeding 70% AC mains power. Electrical components look in good shape with no cracked, no burned, no broken pieces.
This amplifier appears to be in original unmolested condition. Some of the tubes look like they are replacements but all are vintage types no Chinese, no Eastern European, no Russian. Sound quality is superb. Silky smooth fatigue free listening with a sound stage you can touch when you close your eyes, super Hi-Fi.
The very top of the chassis shows some corrosion, front, rear, side panels, and inside pretty good. This can use some cleaning. The tube cage is in exceptional shape with no detriment. This item will be sold with no guarantee.
