The Carver M-4.0t is a stereo Magnetic Field Power Amplifer. the Magnetic Field principle itself enables a compact, lightwieght power supply to process large amounts of energy, and to store energy reserves in a unique, highly efficient way.
The M-4.0t boasts a rated output of 375 watts per channel into 8 ohms from 20Hz to 20 kHz with less than 0.5% THD. It delivers 1000 watts continuous sine wave output at 8 ohms from 20Hz to 20 kHz with less tha 1.5% THD in bridging mode. Power at Clipping is 450 watts per channel into 8 ohms at 1 kHz, both channels, and 550 watts per channel into 8 ohms at 1 kHz, one channel only.
I am the original owner, and the amp has always been in a smoke free environment. I recently had this amp serviced as the rectifier diodes needed to be replaced. The amp was thourghly reviewed and is in excellent working order. This is the only time that this amp has been serviced. I have a copy of the service invoice documenting the work. There are some minor cosmetic scratches on the top of the amp. This amp was used to power the Carver Amazing Loudspeakers. It has only been used with Carver equipment.
