Here is a Adcom GFA555 II Power Amplifier from my private system. It is near perfect condition from a non smoker home and functionally superb sounding. this amp is on par with the some of the best amps on the planet comparing it to a amp costing ten times the money and is considered by some to be a best buy in hi/fi . the unit has always been on a A/C Power-filter and that means the switch has hardly ever been used so it will have no issues down the road. The Adcom GFA-555II is a completely upgraded version of the famous
GFA-555. While it retains the conservative power-output rating of the
original GFA-555, its redesign significantly reduces distortion in the
amplifier when driving difficult loudspeaker loads.FEATURES-
Larger potted transformer provides better overall regulation for
driving lower impedances at high power levels; also provides greater
peak-current capability into loudspeaker loads.- No electrolytic
capacitors in the low-frequency signal path or feedback-loop path. Only
precision non-polarized capacitors are used.- Addition of a servo
circuit minimizes DC-offset voltage at the loudspeaker outputs; this
insures that there is no woofer "biasing" with attendant low-frequency
distortion.- Larger heatsinks for each channel for greater heat
dissipation and better temperature and dynamic bias tracking. Greater
