Well, Folks, this is CERTAINLY one of those times when we REALLY have to remind ourselves that we're in business to SELL Audio Equipment, and can't keep everything for our own use (we kinda like having 'food on the table'). These 'Cost No Object' Amps (AND the Matching Preamp-----See Our 'OTHER ITEMS'!), were manufactured in the mid-1980's by Linx Audio (NZ) Ltd., a company which then moved to England, and simply disappeared. That 'cost no object' philosophy probably did them in, as it did to so many other fine 'Audiophile' Quality Manufacturers who seemed----in Audio's Finest Hours in the mid-80's to early-90's-----to make a brief, impressive appearance, and then fade when fiscal reality struck. You'll not find too much info on these when you start searching (which, we suspect, many of you have already started to do!), but you WILL find comparisons to some of the Finest, Priciest, MOST Highly Regarded Audio Companies of that time and this!! These Consecutively Serial Numbered Gems CONSERVATIVELY Output 120 Watts EACH into 8 ohms, and 200(!) into 4 ohms. The 'Fascia' is a plexiglass-like material, and the ON/OFF 'Rocker Switch' is on the Rear. ALL(!) Internal Wiring is by Van Den Hul, and they each come with an Extra Long IEC AC Power Cord, and are in Absolutely Flawless Operating Condition! Cosmetically, you will find a few minor scrapes/marks, (they ARE 25 years old, after all), but nothing whatsoever to diminish their Superb Presentation! Folks, we literally HATE the misplaced, over-used, and clueless pronouncements of 'Tube-Like' Sound that we so often see. Truth be told, 95% of you wouldn't know what a 'tube' looked like if you tripped over one. BUT................for Un-Veiled Sound 'Clarity', these are one of only 3 Solid State Amps we've EVER heard to EARN the praise 'Tube-Like'. 'Nuff Said!
